This blog is about and for the conservationists working around the world to save species and habitats from extinction.
At the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, we run many projects around the world that aim to understand the threats causing populations to decline and then address those threats in the most effective and rapid manner. We also aim to focus our efforts on ensuring that the knowledge and capacity to protect species remains at the local level within the country of origin. Therefore we work with local communities and train local conservationists either at the International Training Centre in Jersey or during one the courses we take around the world.
